NEED HELP space around furnace!?
the gas furnace in my half house i rent has a work bench on the plain side of it. the maintenance panels are totally clear as is the intake on the opposite sides i have two work benches so going clockwise starting on the side with the intake and maintenance panels..
side 1 - maintenance panels and intake - clear
side 2 - filter change panel facing wall - clear
side 3 - desk 6" clearance - no opening on side just flat
side 4 - counter space also 6" clearance - no opening on side also plain side
is there anything wrong with this setup? my landlord has an inspection and i dont want to have this become a problem for me nor my landlord. thanks very much
I don't think you have a problem with the clearance , you should be able to put your hand on the sides and it wont burn you the biggest problem is clearance on the flue pipe that get fairly hot when running and that is where your clearance will matter.
