The Greatest Sports Glasses Of All Time
When you sit down to review a pair of sunglasses, there isnt much to go on and its made more difficult due to us all having our own tastes, but we've made it a little easier. Rather than review a paire of sunglasses and compare directly against a competitors pair, which lets face it, could be radically different, we've cheated by comparing the same sunglasses against each, all be it in different flavours.
The subject for this review are the Oakley Scalpel range, one of the most popular sets of glass out there and coming in no less than nine different varieties. Oakley sunglasses are famed for their high quality, precision and performance and the Scalpel follows the same design ideal and pattern, there is no loss of quality in these premium sunglasses.
Across the range, you get a choice of black, white (2 variations), brown (2 variations) and our personal favourite Dark grey. Of all the glasses here, the white chrome are probably the most striking, but the brand new Ducati signature are even more stylish thanks to the flashes of red on the logo and frame ends.
You get the usual choice of lens colours too with the garish blue attached to the white chrome version and the heady bright red found on the dark grey set, as well as the ordinary shades of black sunglasses.
The frames are lightweight, strong and yet still ultra comfortable with their patented UNOBTAINIUM material which is said to increase grip with perspiration. Thanks to the stuff Oakley has put on the ends of the frames, you won't be losing these babies from your head, even in the toughest of sports action.
As expected for designer glasses of this quality the lenses filter out 100% of damaging UVA, UVB, UVC and even harmful blue light up to 400nm. Oakley also ensures they comply fully with all current ANSI standards.
If you are out to purchase a fantastic set of sunglasses that will stay with you for years and allow you to carry on doing sports without worry, then the Oakleys are perfect, a sure fire 10 out of 10 set of sunglasses.
How harmful are UVC sun rays?
I investigated that's strained through the ozone, so its wavelengths don't achieve our planet's surface. But can you really achieve our planet's surface since you will find ozone holes? If can, how harmful are these sun rays?
They're still strained by the atmosphere. However, when utilizing them like a germicidal tool, great care must automatically get to avoid contact with them.
