The thermostat readings seem accurate so my question is, do I replace the thermostat or the control board?
The thermostat is controlled by a small wire-like thermocouple that sits in the air stream of the evaporator coil. Usually, window units have the problem of having the thermocouple pushed into the coil, feeling the cold temp and shutting the compressor off.
